Yuksel Erpardo DDS PhD
Dr. Yuksel Erpardo is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience. He was honored in HOUR Detroit Magazine’s list of top Oral Surgeons in Metro Detroit nine years in a row since 2018.
Dr. Erpardo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. He also holds both Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and PhD from the University of Istanbul, Turkey. Prior coming to Michigan, Dr. Erpardo earned his fellowship certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida, Center for Implant Dentistry.
For over nine years he worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department and held the position of Director of Implant Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy. In his 20+ years of dental and oral surgery career, he developed a special interest in dental implants and, as a clinical professor, he trained hundreds of dental students on dental implantology.

When he is not working, Dr.Erpardo likes to spends his private time with his family and friends. He likes travelling and play classical guitar. When he was a teenager, he found his grandfather’s accordion and self-taught himself to play accordion as well. He also has a passion for movie making and photography. Dr.Erpardo is married and has two sons – Jimmy (17) and Deniz (13).
Dr. David S. Coviak, DDS, MD
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. David S. Coviak to the team of Center for Implant Dentistry & Oral Surgery.
Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Coviak is a board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in:
- Dentoalveolar surgery
- Dental implants
- Extractions
- IV sedation
- Trauma surgery
- Application of new technologies to patient care
Dr. Coviak prioritizes patients’ well-being in every interaction and collaborates closely with care teams to achieve the best outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Coviak enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, his 5-year-old son, William, and his one-year-old daughter, Elizabeth. He loves being outdoors, water sports, and watching college sports.
